Susan Tawse: A Lifestyle Transformation at 59

 

At 59, Susan Tawse has completely transformed her lifestyle, proving that age is no barrier to fitness. A retired mental health nurse living in rural Scotland, Sue didn’t have easy access to gym facilities, but that didn’t stop her. When she approached me for online coaching, she was ready to make a change, and together, we made it happen.

Sue signed up for my online coaching app, and I built a workout plan around the limited equipment she had at home. We started with bodyweight exercises four times a week, complemented by regular walking. Alongside her training, I created a flexible nutrition plan with multiple options for each meal, making it easy for her to stick to. She embraced small but impactful changes like swapping cappuccinos for white coffee and adding more protein to her meals.

What’s most inspiring about Sue is her unwavering commitment. She didn’t let location or equipment limitations hold her back. As she started seeing progress, Sue’s confidence grew, and she began investing in more equipment to push herself further. From simple bodyweight movements to now owning a multi-gym, treadmill, and free weights, Sue has created her own fitness sanctuary at home.

Her training plans evolved with her. Each time she added new equipment, I adjusted her workouts to challenge her more. She never backed down from a challenge, often chasing me for extra sessions when she had spare time. Her dedication is unmatched, and her progress reflects that.

2.5 stone down, stronger, fitter, and more energetic than ever. She’s living proof that consistency and a positive mindset can drive incredible change. Not only does Sue maintain her fitness routine, but she also actively participates in all the Curl Fitness Online Challenges, pushing herself alongside a community of like-minded individuals

Even when travelling back to the Rhondda (where she lived for 40 years) to visit family, Sue booked a couple of 121 personal training sessions with me, reinforcing her commitment to her health. Her journey hasn’t just changed her body; it’s transformed her entire lifestyle. She’s more confident, vibrant, and full of life.

Sue’s story is a testament to what can be achieved with the right mindset, tailored support, and sheer determination.
